Shocking News:WhatsApp Will Stop Working Some Devices From June 30, 2017
If you are among those still using a dated software platform, then it’s time you start to seek for alternatives of Popular messaging app “WhatsApp.”
Because Facebook-owned company is reportedly ending support for some platforms on June 30, 2017.

In 2016, they had said that it will halt its support of “outdated devices.”

The company had said that the app will not run on many older smartphones including Nokia, Android, iPhone, Windows Phone, and BlackBerry.

This move comes after the brand decided in November to extend its support for the Nokia and BlackBerry software from December 2016 to June 2017.

It happened after BlackBerry expressed its huge disappointment with WhatsApp’s decision to stop their platform.
Even the support for Android 2.2 Froyo, Windows Phone 7, and iOS 6 was ended by the widely used instant messaging app in December last year.

WhatsApp gave the reason behind this…!!
The company said that the dated platforms are not capable of running the new features that are to be added in WhatsApp.

LIST OF DEVICES THAT WILL STOP RUNNING WHATSAPP ANYMORE:
1. BlackBerry, including BlackBerry 10
2. Nokia Symbian S60
3. Android 2.1 and Android 2.2
4. iPhone 3GS/iOS 6
5. Windows Phone 7.1
6. Nokia S40

The Facebook-owned company has advised that anyone using the above-mentioned older platforms who want to continue their chatting with friends will need to upgrade to a newer operating system.

It also clarifies that currently there’s no way that customers can transfer your chat history between the platforms.

If requested by users, the company will offer the option to send your chat history attached to an email. Read the WhatsApp’s Support page to understand the steps.
