Manjhi and All Is Well Can't Match Brothers' First Weekend

DESPITE ITS INSPIRING SUBJECT MATTER, MANJHI - THE MOUNTAIN MAN MADE A LITTLE OVER RS 6 CR. ALL IS WELL, STARRING RISHI KAPOOR, ABHISHEK BACHCHAN, ASIN AND SUPRIYA PATHAK, FARED BETTER

A week after Brothers' Rs 50 cr weekend, the sum of collections from the two films that released last Friday hasn't been able to add up to a figure even remotely close.

Despite its inspiring subject matter, Manjhi - The Mountain Man made a little over Rs 6 cr. The film stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui as Dashrath Manjhi and Radhika Apte as the wife he moves a mountain for.
#ManjhiTheMountainMan Fri 1.40 cr, Sat 2.35 cr, Sun 2.70 cr. Total: ₹ 6.45 cr. India biz.

All Is Well, starring Rishi Kapoor, Abhishek Bachchan, Asin and Supriya Pathak, fared better.
#AllIsWell Fri 2.90 cr, Sat 3.98 cr, Sun 5.03 cr. Total: ₹ 11.91 cr. India biz.

Akshay Kumar's Brothers is still ahead though Box Office India reports that its earnings are down by 88% in the second weekend:
#Brothers [Week 2] Fri 1.40 cr, Sat 2 cr, Sun 2.70 cr. Total: ₹ 78.70 cr. India biz.

All three films may be in danger of stolen thunder with this Friday's release, the much-discussed Phantom. Starring Saif Ali Khan and Katrina Kaif, Phantom deals with a post-26/11 Mumbai and has been banned in Pakistan. The director, Kabir Khan, just delivered the blockbuster of the year in the form of Salman Khan's Bajrangi Bhaijaan last month.
