The 'Janus One' phone will offer users 3 months of standby time on a single charge


According to you, which feature of your phone needs a serious upgrade? To this question, most of you will abruptly say “battery” without much hesitation. Back in the day, when feature phones ruled the market, 5-6 days battery life wasn’t a problem. These days, when your phone’s battery is low, all you want to do is make some urgent calls instead of worrying about features like camera, music player, or Internet. Realizing the same need, Janus One has been created.
The 'Janus One' is a simple no-nonsense phone with a touch of elegance and refinement. While most have surely converted over to smartphones, there are some that can appreciate the simplicity and refinement the Janus One has to offer.
The Janus One is relatively small device that is roughly the size of a credit card and measures in at 5.5mm thin. While the phone is meant to function as a stand-alone unit, it can also be tethered to a smartphone using Bluetooth. The Janus One can also function as a pedometer and can even be used as a battery backup powering another device with its 1500mAh battery. The 1500mAh battery can provide up to 90 days of standby time and 12 hours of talk time.
Janus one is just 5.5mm thin and it can easily slip inside your wallet. It’s water resistant, you can send text messages and it comes with Bluetooth capability. Talking more about the appearance, Janus One is available in Black, White, and gold.
Although, there is mention of the Janus One being able to receive text and there is no mention that it can send text messages; we have contacted the makers of Janus One have for clarification. The Janus One is currently available on Kickstarter for $69 USD. The phone is available in three colors and will start shipping in September 2015.
