Store assembling fake iPhones raided
New Delhi, July 11 -- Your Apple products, for which you paid a premium, may just as well be a locally assembled fake.
A well-known mobile phone and accessories store in Karol Bagh was raided on Thursday and over 28 iPhones, accessories and around 4,300 phone parts were seized.
The dealer is a leading trader on major shopping portals, and is among the major importers of mobile accessories with offices in India, China and Africa.
"We have seized 28 iPhone 5 and six handsets. We have got around 4,300 assembling material of iPhone, which includes holograms, stickers, packaging material, spare parts, covers, stickers etc. We have seized the items and the necessary investigation is underway," said Parmaditya, deputy commissioner of police
